RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
This is for anyone interested to become Catholic, or simply learn about Catholicism. If you feel that the Lord may be calling you to look further into the Catholic Church, the first thing to do is to pray. If in your prayer and discernment you believe that you are being called to look deeper, RCIA is the thing for you. It begins with inquiry. The first few months are simply information sessions that explain the teachings of the Catholic Church and also invite you to a prayerful experience of God. People are free to simply seek information and they are free to ask any questions that they might have.
Classes coincide with the schoolyear, September/October to March/April, Wednesday or Thursdays, 7:00pm – 8:30pm, at St. James School’s room #1 (enter through the school’s back door entrance).
The Pastor teaches it, together with 2 or 3 co-teachers. We have a wonderful program lined up!
Please invite anyone you know is interested to attend. You can also be their sponsor and attend the class too.
Let’s show others the beauty and truth of our Catholic faith!!!
For inquiries, please call Fr. Jose Manuel Campos at 503-472-5232 local 224 or email him at jcampos@archdpdx.org
